Thin Film Analyzer TFA2
Formation of microscopic foam and emulsion films, observation of their behaviour and measurements of several physicochemical parameters

Principle is based on the well-known Thin Liquid Film – Pressure Balance Technique. Microscopic foam and emulsion films are obtained in a modified Scheludko-Exerowa cell, especially designed for best compatibility within the compact architecture of this instrument. The film thickness is measured interferometrically. The instrument is equipped with a digital camera and allows simultaneous observation of the film and measurement of its thickness, both controlled by a modern Windows software.
Instrumental parts
Inverse microscope equipped with a digital camera and
- monochromatic light source
- photo sensor module
Temperature controlled measuring cell in two modifications allowing:
i) formation of a film at constant capillary pressure
ii) application of external pressure on the film
- Pressure control unit
